Description of the Organisation
U.G. Centar za Obrazovanje i Druženje (shortly COD) is a non-governmental, non-political, non profit, non religious, multi-ethnic youth organization based in the town of Jajce, central Bosnia and Herzegovina. Our main mission is the promotion, support and work with children and youth from our local community in the fields of education, culture and youth participation.
The COD, formally known as Youth center is existing since 2001, and this durability is a result of a successful work. Our founding was initiated and supported by Friedenskreis Halle eV.
With the same mission we mentioned above, we continue to work on four main fields – educative programs for children and youth (pre-school workshop, language courses, guitar and dancing), international projects (youth exchanges, voluntary services, seminars and workshops), local informative web media „Jajce Press“, tourism project - „Visit Jajce“ (update promotional web-site, developing broshures, educate new young tourist guiders etc).
Centar za Obrazovanje i Druzenje team is formed by 7 employees (full and part-time), 4 programm moderators, many local volunteers and one or two international volunteers per year.
Our staff speaks English and German language.
Management in our organization is structured in different projects – international department, media project, program part and tourism project. Volunteer is engaged in one or more of the fields / projects COD works on.
Therefore, our organization can offer several programs for volunteers to be involved:

Since Jajce isn´t a big city the volunteer will get to know many people during a short amount of time. Additionally there are many places to visit arround Jajce (nature parks, bigger cities).
