Learning about conflict in a safer Space. Come practice with us
An online-series on conflict transformation for people who experience racism in Germany
On October 18, we begin a learning journey focused on understanding conflict and using it as a tool to empower yourself and your community, especially in challenging times.
This program is an invitation to move beyond avoiding conflict or feeling overwhelmed by it. Together, we will learn how to stay present, communicate clearly, and build strength through connection.
Our online sessions are for people who have experienced racism, these sessions will combine theoretical insights with practical exercises. Participants will have an opportunity to develop a critical understanding of conflict transformation, communication, and dialogue, and to engage in interactive practices with one another.
If you’ve been wanting to feel more grounded in difficult conversations, more connected to others, and more capable of navigating tension with care and clarity, this space is for you.
Participants who complete the program through active attendance and participation will receive a certificate.
You can attend all or individual sessions. Please register for the sessions via E-Mail: krischan.oberle@friedenskreis-halle.de
The sessions are facilitated by Reem Bond and Azzam Moustafa (more information below) in English. For your participation, you need sufficient understanding in English – you talking in German or Arabic is possible, translations are provided.
Your participation is free of charge.

No drawing skills needed — just curiosity! It’s your chance to have a sneak peek at the trainers‘ methods and get to know more about the full online program. - 25.10. – Image, Language & Power
How do images and language shape the way we see ourselves and others? Together, we’ll explore representation, stereotypes, and power through discussion and practical exercises. Come practice communicating with more awareness and intention. - 27.10. – Mental Health & Stress in Conflict
Because conflict security isn’t just about knowing what to say, it’s about building enough capacity in your body to stay present, grounded, and connected when things get intense. Together, we’ll explore practical tools for grounding, self-regulation, and resilience. Come practice staying connected to yourself in challenging moments. - 01.11. – Storytelling Against Prejudice & Racism
Stories can challenge stereotypes and create space for different perspectives. In this session, we’ll use storytelling to explore experiences of prejudice and racism and practice creating new narratives. We will share, listen, and connect. - 08.11. – Self-Strengthening & Empowerment
What helps us feel stronger, more confident, and more in control? We’ll explore personal resources, boundaries, and collective strength through reflection and practical exercises. Come reconnect with your power and practice empowerment together. - 10.11. – Closing & Reflection
Let’s bring our learning journey together! We’ll reflect on highlights, share experiences, and explore what we want to carry forward. Come practice one last time with us and celebrate what we’ve created together. Expect conversation, group work, a few surprises, and lots of “Oh, I hadn’t thought about it that way!” moments.
